Wart Removal
Effective & Safe Wart Removal by Dermatology Experts at Varsity Clinic
Warts are common viral skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). While generally harmless, they can spread, become painful, or cause cosmetic concerns—especially when they appear on the face, hands, feet, or intimate areas. At Varsity Clinic, we provide medically advanced wart removal solutions that eliminate the lesion, reduce recurrence risk, and prioritize skin safety.
Warts require expert care not just for removal, but also for managing the virus within the skin to prevent future outbreaks.

Wart Removal Options at Varsity Clinic
At Varsity Clinic, each wart is evaluated to determine its type, size, location, and depth before choosing a removal method. Our treatment options include:
- Radiofrequency ablation – a precise, minimally invasive technique using heat energy
- Laser cauterization – for hard-to-treat or recurrent warts
- Cryotherapy – freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen
- Topical immunotherapy – for patients with multiple or resistant warts
- Surgical excision – in selected cases where deep or clustered warts exist
All procedures are performed under local anesthesia when required, ensuring a comfortable and sterile experience.
Expert Removal with Minimal Scarring
Wart removal at Varsity Clinic is led by Dr. Pranjal Joshi (MBBS, MD Dermatology, FIADVL – Dermatosurgery, FACSI – Lasers), a globally trained Dermatosurgeon and Laser Specialist. With over 11 years of clinical experience and advanced training from institutes in Rome, Singapore, and Austria, Dr. Joshi ensures a precise, scar-minimizing approach tailored to Indian skin types.
His expertise is especially valuable in treating delicate or visible areas such as the face, eyelids, or genitals, where cosmetic outcome matters just as much as medical success.
What Are Warts?
Warts appear as small, rough, and often raised growths on the skin. They can vary in shape, size, and texture depending on the type:
- Common warts (verruca vulgaris) – rough-surfaced, typically on fingers or knees
- Plantar warts – on soles of feet, can be painful with walking
- Flat warts – smoother, commonly on face, hands, or legs
- Filiform warts – thread-like projections, usually on eyelids or neck
- Genital warts – transmitted through skin contact, requires confidential care
Warts are contagious and can spread through skin contact, shared items, or self-inoculation (scratching and touching other areas).
